Restoration Prices
Every photograph has different problems and different kinds of damage. It would be impossible for us to give an exact price on the repair of any given photograph without having a description of the damage first or even better an opportunity to analyse the photograph. We can however give you a rough guide about what you can expect to pay dependant on the level of work and the type of damage to the photograph.
Level 1 - from £18-£25 - Repairing very basic damage. Removing minor spots, dust, or retouch one small scratch or blemish. Removal of red-eye or slight colour casts, straightening verticals and improving contrast of a slightly faded photo, but otherwise only minor retouching.
Level 2 - from £26-£49 - Repairing moderate damage. Moderate amount of retouching repairs to cracks and corners, removing spots and blemishes, as long as these do not pass through faces. Repairs to damaged edges or water damage. Repairing torn photo (no missing pieces). Removing extensive scratches, creases, biro marks (but not over faces) or removing basic background objects.
Level 3 - from £50+ Repairing extensive damage. Repairing severely discoloured or faded photo. Badly damaged photos extensively retouched, including repair of damage to faces, restoration of all missing corners and edges, repair of scratches, tears, lines, creases, etc. Repairs to torn/taped photo with missing pieces.Repairs to cracks in facial area. Removing complex background objects. Following our work the restored photographs supplied are on professional archival quality paper using pigmented inks giving a lightfastness at least 60 years.
